Performer Dan Haggerty Has Died at 74



Dan Haggerty, who fans know as Grizzly Adams, kicked the bucket early Friday morning at 74 years old from growth, ABC News has affirmed with the performing artist's supervisor Terry Bomar.

Haggerty featured as Grizzly Adams in the 1974 film "The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams" and the resulting TV arrangement of the same name, which kept running from 1977 to 1978.

"Dan Haggerty, an adored Father and companion, has kicked the bucket at 4:30 toward the beginning of today at St Joseph Hospital in Burbank, CA, encompassed by his family that cherished him. He had battled a long hard fight with disease of the spine that was found in August of this current year," Bomar wrote in a public statement.

He proceeded with, "Every one of the recompenses could not hope to compare to his colossal snicker and superb comical inclination that made everybody chuckle with him. He would illuminate any room he entered. He adored life, cherished his family, adored his companions and fans."

The on-screen character, who was initially from Wisconsin, then went ahead to show up in a few movies and TV appears, including "Charlie's Angels" in 1981 and "The Love Boat" in 1983.

Some of Haggerty's latest undertakings incorporated an appearance in "Hatchet Giant: The Wrath of Paul Bunyan" and "Dead in 5 Heartbeats," both discharged in 2013.
